Having worked for 18 years in the public sector, I increasingly began to wonder "Is this it?" and in the course of reading many (many!) self help books, I came across the following sound advice (courtesy of Elisabeth Wilson in The Ultimate Goddess):

Write a list of what you loved doing when you were 17 and ask yourself why you are not still doing it.

I did, and, pints of snakebite and black and copious amounts of black eyeliner notwithstanding, in the winter of 2009, the idea for Hengroen was born.

And the name? The name Hengroen was inspired by my cat Merlin; himself something of a local legend. Hengroen was the name of King Arthur's horse, noted for his bravery and loyalty.
